2004 Observations of Jade, Tanya & Garrett
by Sadie, the family dog

In Jan, Jade went back to work four months post-transplant! Cool!

In Feb, a CT scan showed the cancer was back. (Sigh.)

Traveling, traveling and more traveling! Jade, Tanya and Garrett went to Texas (twice), Southern Utah, Logan, Island Park (twice), California to Disneyland and Jade went on a couple motorcycle trips. Did you know they never took me along?

Family Reunions! Jade’s extended family (maternal) met in July as did Tanya’s (paternal). They both got to see all their siblings again this year. However, all the fun, food and laughter was with me, left at home. Hey, I’m noticing a pattern here.

Friends . . . . new, old and the loss of friends. Jade, Tanya & Garrett have the greatest friends around! I love to play when they come to visit or even hear them laugh on the phone. However, there have been tears at the passing of close friends this year.

Pheasant Hunts for Jade in the spring and fall. He had a great time and loves to be in Cache Valley with his family (just the guys though). While I am a lab, I prefer the comfort of our warm house and am really a bit of a wuss.

Elmo, Cars and Emeril! Garrett is a typical two and a half year old boy who loves all things Elmo (and Sesame Street) and anything with wheels - - trucks, cars, trailers, trains, tractors, etc. He also likes to watch Emeril cook and hear him say “Bam” and “Stick around” and “Kick it up another notch” as well as hear the live band play. Garrett is getting better at throwing me the ball and loves to wrestle & play with me - - inside or outside.

Christmas at Home! With a very uncertain 2005 looming ahead of Jade and Tanya, it’s wonderful and comforting to have Christmas together at home.

Have a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years!

P.S. I had two trips to the vet (always traumatic for me) and one tooth pulled, but overall I’m quite content for a family dog.! Happy Holidays!
