Father's Day

"A father is neither an anchor to hold us back nor a sail to take us there but a guiding light to show us the way." - Anonymous

Hey there. Just me doing a quick update. Whoa. Been a little emotional today. These holidays are so much fun this year. And we seem to have one every two weeks.............Valentine's Day, Garrett's birthday, Easter, our anniversary, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day...........Ug. Enough already. Garrett and I went to the cemtery and I had a couple things planned for us this afternoon.

I finished the funeral scrapbook a couple weeks ago which is so nice to have done. It was incredibly emotional to work on it but I'm very pleased with it. I ended up with three massive binders of things (emails, cards, letter/memories, photos) for Garrett to have and look through over the years. I can't believe it's only been (almost) five months. Geez. I'm so tired it feels like it should be five years already. Sigh.

Other than being tired, I think we're doing ok. We have been to the zoo, met friends for lunch, been to the library, had play dates with neighborhood friends, eaten lots of strawberries from the garden along with many other fun summer activities (baseball games, fishing, & gave Sadie a bath.) June is super busy and flying by fast! I'm sure July will be the same too.

"Forever, you’re a part of me, Forever, in the heart of me."
- Lyrics from "I Believe" by Diamond Rio
Jade and Garrett loved this song by Diamond Rio. That song has been going through my mind the past few days as I've been anticipating today (Father's Day.) Garrett is a lot like his father which is fun to see but still uniquely his own person.

Well, hope you're all doing well and enjoying the summer fun. Thanks for your love and support. We are so grateful for the amazing people we have in our lives. Take care and Happy Father's Day.

With love and a Kleenex .................... Tanya
