Book is Done!

"The miracles in fact are a retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see."  - C. S. Lewis

Hey there.   It's been since January that I updated everyone.   Garrett and I are doing pretty good.   As always, life isn't perfect but whose is?   We always seem to busy with this or that but generally life is ok.

Garrett turned 4 the end of March, we got our garden planted in April and we are finishing up preschool next week.   The summer will be filled with swimming lessons, a couple trips to see family and some family coming here.  I'm already amazed at how booked the summer is getting up to Labor Day.   Yikes.   Garrett loves being outside any chance he can.  Loves playing in the sand, riding his trike and bike, helping with the garden (carefully watching and encouraging it to grow - - "Strawberries, raspberries and peas are coming!"), going to the park and soon we'll get out the little plastic pool for the backyard.   He also just finished up a tumbling class.   He really liked that too.

I am still working with what averages out to be about once a week but mostly life is filled with being "Garrett's mom" - - as his friends and the neighborhood kids call me.  It was good to get the one year anniversary past me in January but of course nothing magical changes with that.   There were bittersweet moments with Garrett's birthday and then our anniversary was the same wknd as Easter wknd.   But, all in all, we're doing ok.

"Each of us is the accumulation of our memories."   - Alan Loy McGinnis

Last week I got the book back from the publisher.   I am pleased with how it turned out.   I said in my January email it was done with Garrett in mind but I wanted extra copies printed for friends and family.   There are plenty available if you want some.   If you live here locally and I can get it to you, it's $10.    If you're outside of the Salt Lake Valley then plan on $15 and I'll ship it.   Just let me know how many you want and where to send it to.   It turned out to be about 360 pages and has 25 (B&W) photos with a color cover.

We hope you are all doing well.   I hope to keep a quarterly update sent out so it can be posted on the website too.    Thanks for your kindness, friendship and continued love.   We are so amazed by the wonderful people we have to call friends and family.

"Where we love is home - home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts."   - Oliver Wendell Holmes

Take care and enjoy the fun of summer!
