Good numbers

Hey.........we had a wonderful wknd! We holed ourselves up in the house and loved spending time together! Garrett usually didn't want Dad out of his sight and even today when we went for a check-up he cried when Dad left. He is loving spending time with his dad.

Today was a routine check-up from post-auto transplant and pre-allo (donor) transplant. Jade's numbers were all really good today. His white and red cells, hermatocrit and plateletes were all within normal ranges. They also looked at his liver and kidney functions and found them to be fine/normal. Aside from a few aches/pains Jade is doing very, very well. He is eating and sleeping better than in the hospital and feeling good. Being tired/fatigued is the biggest problem but as Jade told the PA today at the appt, "I know I'm doing ok when fatigue/exhaustion is my biggest complaint." All other side effects are lessening - - it always takes a while to get the chemo flushed out of your system, not to mention he's still immune supressed.

Had to send a note and tell of the good news. Today is day 14 and they are looking to do the allo-transplant day 30 to 42. It will be determined by his counts and how he's doing. As long as he doesn't get an infection or other secondary problems we should be fine. We're looking forward to a quiet couple weeks with more family/relaxing time here at home. Thanks for the phone calls/emails/letters. We're so amazed at how well Jade has done and feel we have much to be grateful for. We are very appreciative of your prayers and faith and hope. Thanks again.

Take care.................

Love................Tanya and co.
