Test Results

Morning everyone. I didn't get the email done last night so here we are this morning making a quick attempt. Some of the results are back for Jade while others will take another week.

The biggest result is that the CT scan came back negative (showing no tumors in his abdominal region.) This is fantastic news. We're very happy nothing is showing up and all his organs appear normal. His pulmonary function test was ok but his diffusion was diminished a bit from the last time he had the test done (it was in July I believe but am not positive off the top of my head.) He went from a 4.8 to a 4.0 which could be accounted for by the radiation or long-term effects/damage from chemo. Some people regain that while others experience a permanent loss. I still need to understand better from Jade that aspect of the pulmonary function test.

The graft vs host test (litmus paper on his eye) came back acceptable/normal. On his blood work his liver function and platelettes were down which could be a result of graft vs host. They will just continue to monitor those individual readings over the next few weeks. Jade will have his final three days of pills and will be off the immune suppression drug by Friday the 5th. The chymerism (Jared vs Jade percentage) results won't be back till the end of the week. Jade will go back in on Monday for his regular exam/appt.

We are doing good and are in the holiday swing of things - as much as we're allowed. Have the house decorated and are enjoying the tree. Yes, with Garrett being 20 months old, the ornaments are crowded onto the top two-thirds of the tree. He loves to look at them and the lights.

Have a wonderful holiday season. We feel blessed beyond words. We'll keep you posted! All our gratitude and season's greetings...............

Love.............Tanya and co.
