Disease Assessment

Hey everybody. It's Friday and I'm finally getting the email out from Weds' disease assessment. Jade had blood/chemistry tests, chymerism (Jade vs Jared percentage - - even though the last one was 100% they are doing another one), x-rays and a CT scan.

The CT scan showed no signs of tumors which is wonderful news. Jade has been having some lower abdominal pain on the left side and other digestive problems for a couple weeks so we were relieved to have no tumors showing on the CT scan. The BMT clinic is trying to decide what to do now to find out what the pain/discomfort is from. While we are concerned we take some comfort from Weds test results. It's a little puzzling but we're trying to not get too freaked out by it.

We're doing pretty good otherwise. Jade and Garrett got colds early this week and have since passed it to me so we're a little tired from feeling a bit under the weather but hanging in there. Jade seems to be tolerating his cold fairly well. It's the first real infection/cold he's had post -transplant so it's a little scary to watch and wait but so far he's doing ok.

Jade will go back in for a check-up the second week of March but I'm sure he'll have other tests or appts to deal with the abdominal pain issue before that. We'll keep you posted! This is gonna be a short one since I'm off to take more Tylenol Cold! Thanks for everything! We are in awe of the support we continue to receive. You're wonderful! Take care and let me know any cures for spring fever!
