Howdy-do. Like an idiot, went to bed too late and Garrett is up too early. One would think I'd learn, but no, not yet. I meant to do this email yesterday but the day got away from me and once Garrett was in bed the internet connection was having problems (what isn't in our house though?) so here we are.

Jade had his transfusion on Tues along with a chest x-ray, EKG and his pulmonary function test (breathing). It was a late night then too so he was plenty tired. We were up early on Weds (yesterday) to go to the hospital for his bone marrow biopsy. We'll have results from that in a week or so. It went pretty similar to the first one. I was able to stay and watch again. The oncologist was really good and the nurse was great too. That helps. His hip is fairly tender but all in all he's doing pretty good. Jade is starting to feel a little better (get more energy, not be so light headed) as a result of the transfusion and his Procrit shot. Last night he was saying it was great to feel human again. I'll second that opinion.

Figaro's was a great success! Our wonderful, little local pizza joint raised $1,000 in one night. All the proceeds form 4-8 went to Jade. Friends from the neighborhood went down to help process orders/money/etc and they said it was busy all night. It was very kind and generous of Figaro's to help out!

Jade is hoping to have enough energy to go to Fri's auction at the Capitol. He's been looking forward to it and it'll be great to say HI and thank everyone. They have worked so hard to pull this off tomorrow. We'll take some pictures and get them on the website.

Thanks for everything everybody. It's suddenly quiet in the other room which means Garrett must be up to something. Better go protect my house/furnishings and the dog. Take care and thanks again for all your hard work and help. We are continually amazed at the stories we hear and the sacrifices done in our behalf. Thank you. Take care and we'll keep you posted..........
