Hanging tough

Quick note for the morning. We made it through the wknd without a trip to the hospital! Yeah! That's wonderful news! (We have an oncology appt this afternoon so I'll know a little more about Jade's counts later on today.) Jade is feeling ok all in all. Not fantastic by any means, but hanging tough. He is thrilled to be done with IVs for a little while. He still has some of the water retention but that should leave by today or tmrw hopefully. His energy is nonexistent but he remains optimisitc and positive.

The yard sale/boutique with our neighborhood was a SMASHING success. What an outstanding job they did! Our friends and neighbors in Riverton worked so hard in the hot sun on Sat and all have horrible sunburns to prove it. However, all their blood, sweat and tears raised $!0,000! The car wash was able to earn about $500. That's phenominal! Just amazing. Blue (Jade's friend) in Idaho held the BBQ at the Kuna City Park on Saturday as well. They are at about $4,000 with more trickling in and end up closer to $5,000. They had hoped for 500 people to show up but had 150, which makes their total fund raising amount even more spectacular. About $10,500 in one Saturday! Boggles my mind! Thank you SO much for all the work! The golf marathon is underway in Dallas right now. We'll keep you posted on how that goes.

We're doing ok but tired. It'll be good to try to catch our breath and get some sleep this week. Adding to the excitement of our lives is our beloved Sadie (cute, sweet, 4 year old yellow lab) who has thrown up in the house three mornings in a row now. (I'm still going to check all the plagues in the Bible but I don't think they had vomiting Labs as one of them...............however, I'm keeping an eye to the sky for swarming locusts.) If it's not one thing, it's another. Oh well. Take care and good luck with Monday everybody.

Love............Tanya and co.
