Take it Easy

Hi guys! It's just me giving the update, much later than I was hoping but the night has been busy. We went to the oncologist this afternoon and Jade is doing fairly well. His hermatocrit level (% of blood cells in volume of blood) level is low but for now everything is within close to normal range. His white/red blood cells will bottom out this week along with his platelets towards the end of the week. Jade has lost ten of the thirteen pounds of water/fluid weight and will probably lose the remainder in the next day. Dr. Litton, oncologist, told Jade to go home, rest, take it easy and eat whatever sounds good for the next week. Jade jokingly told Dr. Litton he wanted to keep him forever as his doctor because who else would instruct him to go home, rest, watch DVDs and eat whatever he wants.

If there was ever any doubt about how sleep deprived and feeble-minded I am, the previous email today should leave no questions. Math has never been my strong suit anyways, but boy could my figures in explaining the weekend fund raisers been more confusing? Here's an easier version: Yard sale/Boutique = $10K, car wash = $500, BBQ in Kuna (with only 150 people present!) = $4K to $5K. I am in disbelief at the amount of work that went into putting the yard sale/boutique and car wash on here and the loads of work that contributed to the BBQ in Boise. Just amazing!

Someone asked me today how they can RSVP to the Silent Auction/Dance, hosted by Mark Shurtleff and the AG's office, that will be at the capitol on 13 June. The best way is to go to www.jadepusey.com and click on the RSVP line which will go to Chris Ahern at Jade's office. While some invitations were printed anyone is welcome to come and RSVP and if all else fails, tickets can be purchased at the door.

Tomorrow morning (Tuesday) Necia Degering (sp?) will be mentioning Jodie Sampson and her bracelets for Jade on Good Things Utah at 10 am. Necia did so late last week and will have another plug tmrw. By the way, Jodie, the bracelets are great and selling like HOT CAKES! What a fun idea.

Jade remains in good spirits. He's tired but so grateful to be done with this round of chemo and able to rest and get some energy back this week. It'll be good to try to have all of us catch up on sleep. Thank you all for your continued prayers, faith, encouragement and hope in our behalf. It is very sustaining. There are little miracle all over. My brother's golf tournament was today in Dallas and they literally prayed the rain away while they golfed. It looked a little "ify" in the morning but it passed over the golf course without any problems for the golfers. We feel honored to have such an army working so diligently in our name. What respect we have for you. Thank you.

Take care and thanks again!

Love...............Tanya and co.
