Deep
Breath
Hey
everybody. Deep breath.........here we go again.
Chemo starts up tomorrow (Weds) morning. As most of
you know, Jade does an ABAB schedule of chemo. This
is chemo round number three so it's an A cycle. This
is the combination of drugs that had him in the hospital
with hemorragic cystitis of the bladder. His oncologist
is hoping with the new preventive measures taken (sodium
bi-carb pills today and extra fluids at night/at home
tomorrow with more mesna at night/home) that we will
be ok, but keep your fingers crossed and prayers headed
heavenward. Jade and I both are coming to the end
of tonight with some trepidation. It's hard mentally
knowing you're going to be sick and up at nights changing
IV's. But overall he's coping well and I'm doing my
best - - which, as a side bar, is good enough some
days and not enough other days.
As far as business goes, we are up to about $80K and
there are 2 fund raisers this week (bowling on Thurs
and boutique/yard sale on Sat.) I think I mentioned
that on Jade's website you can pay with a credit card
now. We've gotten a few credit card donations the
last couple days from the East Coast with it. There
is a good chance that we'll be halfway to our goal
by next week. That's amazing that we could have $100K
by June 1st and get the second $100K by July 1st.
You people and your friends, neighbors, family members
and co-workers are incredible. I am most impressed
and humbled. I am truly at a loss for words about
the generosity and kindness of what you've done in
our behalf. Thank you. We get the sweetness letters/notes
from friends, family members and strangers. The faith
and support we receive is enormous. I can't emphasize
that enough. We are touched and very grateful.
Hope everybody is healthy and happy and getting back
into the routine after the long weekend. Take care
and we'll see what happens this week...................
Love......................Tanya and co.
